WHAT WE DO

Support women running for Governor or U.S. Senate across the nation.

Ensure that women can influence public policy and have access to political leaders.

Host fundraising and policy events with candidates and distinguished guests that are intimate and personal.

Help raise national awareness on issues that women are likely to champion and care most about.

WHO WE ARE

stars
THE LA WOMEN’S COLLECTIVE IS A POLITICAL ACTION COMMITTEE THAT EMPOWERS WOMEN IN LOS ANGELES TO INFLUENCE POLITICAL AND LEGISLATIVE PROGRESS.

Established in 2016 by Jamie Kantrowitz, Hannah Linkenhoker and Samantha Ettus, the Los Angeles Women’s Collective brings together women from diverse backgrounds and industries to drive more collective female power in politics to influence elections and legislative progress on issues women care about. Inspired by Senator Kirsten Gillibrand and her Off the Sidelines campaign, our work is focused on issues that are important to women, including:

  • Paid Family & Medical Leave
  • Responsible Gun Policies
  • Quality Affordable Childcare and Universal Pre-K
  • Equal Pay for Equal Work
  • Economic Equality for all
  • Human Rights and Civil Rights for every person regardless of where they’re from, what they look like, or who they love.

We are passionate about supporting the best candidates in the most critical races, electing more women to higher office, coalescing around important policy issues where women voices can make a huge difference, and empowering more women to be political donors and use their voices (and their pocketbooks) effectively.

Last year, our founding members supported nine critical races including the victories of Catherine Cortez Masto, Maggie Hassan, Patty Murray, Tammy Duckworth, and our home-state senator Kamala Harris. Though we didn’t win the big war, we did see some of the most dynamic, game-changing women ever get elected to the U.S. Senate. We are proud to be part of that story.
